Unfortunately following a outbreak of avian H5N1 (highly pathogenic virus) in a turkey farm in the province of Verona, the Ministry of Health issued a note on 21 October, in which there is a general ban on the use of live calls Anatidae and Charadriformes in Zones A and B (see point 3), as well as the ban on the release of avifauna for wildlife restocking (see point 4), always exclusively in zones A and B. We reiterate that the prohibition concerns only and exclusively the municipalities (as per the list) in the areas of Italy classified A and B and the prohibition concerns in particular their movement.
Who holds them, duly reported, at the place of use or the hunting post You must NOT move them and they must be left on site. In other areas of Italy their use or movement remains permitted. It is hardly necessary to point out, in this unfortunate situation, that the calls live - in particular in the province of Verona - they were not usable and therefore certainly not a possible transmission vehicle and that the availability of the hunting world in monitoring theaquatic birdlife demolished has not been adequately valued. We hope, for everyone, that the emergency has a rapid conclusion as soon as possible (Source: ACMA).
