A Porto Tolle, in the province of Rovigo, a meeting was held to talk about the use of the acoustic warning and the risks they run all huntersthe. The debate was promoted by the mayor of the Venetian municipality, as well as provincial councilor with responsibility for hunting, Claudius Bellan. Present were the officials of the Province, the agents of the Provincial Police, the hunting associations, the wildlife-hunting companies and the representatives of theTerritorial area of Rovigo hunting 3. The acoustic warnings could lead to the closure of entire areas dedicated to hunting for a day or even more.
The conclusion of the meeting was precisely this: hunters who use decoy cannot be identified with certainty electromagnetic acoustics, widespread in the Po Delta but prohibited and criminally punishable, therefore the Province of Rovigo is ready to adopt strong measures. In addition to complaint against unknown persons, the action taken could be the closure of the hunting areas.
During the debate it was explained that the phenomenon is no longer as rare as it used to be, therefore we must react. Hunters, companies and hunting associations have ensured their collaboration, so much so that the message will be spread in such a way as to make it clear the risks that even the person who has not committed any offense runs. At the end of January it will be possible to understand if the phenomenon will have diminished.
