The Association for Rural Culture expresses condolences for the death of Elizabeth Barbieri, tragically died on 7 February in a road accident on the A 14 near Pesaro. Although Elizabeth was an animal rights activist, light years away from the positions of the carriers of the Rural culture, on behalf of the Association for Rural Culture, I wish to express my condolences to Elizabeth's family for her tragic death. We bearers of rural culture know how to distinguish the ideological battle from respect for human life.
We bearers of rural culture do not uncork bottles when one of our adversaries dies, just because we do not share the activities that he carries out, even more so if he practices them in compliance with the law. We bearers of rural culture do not celebrate the death of a human being, whoever it is and any activity it may carry out.
We bearers of rural culture have respect for all forms of life but we will never accept the idea that the life of a human being can be equated with that of an insect or that of an animal (Honorable Sergio Berlato - National President of the Association for Rural Culture).
