Criteria to be reviewed
We report the joint press release signed by Sergio Berlato (ACR), Giulia Sottoriva (CONFAVI), Umberto Venturini (ACV), Gianni Garbujo (Italcaccia Veneto) and Gianfranco Vezzaro (FCR): “With resolution of the Veneto regional council number 1179 of 15 October 2024, the criteria for the establishment, renewal, modification, revocation and management of the areas intended for the training and exercise of hunting dogs and for the authorization to carry out dog tests".
Canine trials
The note continues as follows: “From a careful reading of the contents, it is natural to ask whether the council really wants to allow the establishment and renewal of the areas designated for the training and exercise of hunting dogs, including the authorization to carry out dog trials, or whether someone wants to look for pretexts to destroy dog breeding in the Veneto. The bureaucratic burdens of this resolution are so annoying and perverse that they discourage any person of common sense from requesting the establishment or renewal of the areas, even worse if one wants to ask for authorization to carry out trials".
Control room
Finally, the five associations added: “Once again regional politics confirms that these stupid restrictions were suggested by some managers who are part of the infamous extended control room, as has happened in other cases, including the insane proposal on hunting posts that we managed to have replaced with our proposal, fortunately approved by the Regional Council. We are preparing to send a communication to all the assessors and all the regional councilors to make it clear that the Veneto government has crushed yet another organic substance that looks like chocolate but emanates a completely different smell. Certainly these members of the regional government in the creation of new UCAS (Offices for Complications of Simple Affairs) are demonstrating that they are true specialists".
