ACR Onlus Veneto records great success for initiatives aimed at spreading the culture of rural traditions among school pupils.
The Association for the Defense and Promotion of Rural Culture - Onlus had bet on the fact that the right way to restore natural balance in a society increasingly distant from the earth and traditions was precisely to involve school children, making them participate of our world. Last weekend, in two different initiatives, one in Vicenza, the other in Venice, hundreds of children invaded the rural attractions reserved for them.
In Quinto Vicentino (VI), the ornithological exhibition with the paintings by Andrea Traverso and the exhibitions of the European champion of hen Loris Dal Maistro, brought several school groups to visit. Satisfaction was expressed by the representatives of ACR - Onlus di Quinto, Attilio Lunardi and Moreno Zardo as most of the 300 elementary school children who had taken part in the guided tours with the school in the morning returned enthusiastic in the evening with their parents teaching them what they had learned about agricultural tools, nature and ancient methods of hunting and fishing.
About 300 were also children who invaded the "party for lagoon and rural life", held in collaboration with the Venetian Hunters Association of the province of Venice. At this juncture, the children were able to try their hand at simulated duck hunting, fishing and ancient human activities in contact with nature.
“I see in the eyes of the children who participate in these events a more serene fun than the usual diversions or modern amusements that attract them; a sincere desire to discover nature as it actually shows itself and the enthusiasm to participate in all its phases, in full respect of its rhythms ", this is the comment of Massimo Zaratin, President of ACR - Onlus who intends to continue on the path of teaching children so that they can pass on our roots and the healthy natural activities of man better than we have been able to do in recent decades. .
