Finally comes out the hunting calendar 2019/20 of Tuscany in official form, with some changes compared to some drafts released previously.
RESOLUTION
1) to authorize hunting, with the exception of Tuesdays and Fridays, of the following species for the periods indicated:
1.1) from 15 September to 31 December 2019 hunting is allowed for the following species: wild rabbit, blackbird and pheasant. In the wildlife hunting farms, in the agritourism-hunting farms, the collection of pheasant is also authorized in the month of January 2020, in the presence of specific sampling plans.
1.2) from 15 September to 30 November 2019 hunting is allowed for the species: gray partridge and red partridge.
Further limitations of levy on the species are indicated in Annex A to this deed. In the hunting farms, the collection of partridge and red partridge is also authorized in December 2019 in the presence of specific collection plans. In hunting farms, the collection of partridge and red partridge is also authorized in the months of December 2019 and January 2020 in the presence of specific collection plans;
1.3) from 1 October to 31 December 2019 hunting is allowed for the lark species;
1.4) from 15 September to 8 December 2019 hunting is allowed for the common hare species;
1.5) from 15 September to 31 October 2019 hunting is allowed for the fighting species, quail and turtle dove (Streptopelia turtur); for the quail species in the authorized dog training areas, the removal of animals entered is also allowed in the period after 31 October;
1.6) from 1 October 2019 to 31 January 2020 hunting is allowed for the following species: woodcock, cesena and redwing. Woodcock hunting is allowed (pursuant to art. 3 paragraph 7 bis of LR20 / 2002) exclusively in wandering form and with the help of pointing or hunting dogs. From 1 January 2020, woodcock hunting is allowed only in areas dedicated to wild boar and, in the remaining areas, only within wooded areas according to the classification of regional law n. 39/2000;
1.7) from 1 November 2019 to 31 January 2020 hunting is allowed for the tufted duck species;
1.8) from 15 September 2019 to 31 January 2020 the following species are allowed to hunt: song thrush, teal, snipe, gadwall, pintail, wood pigeon, hooded crow, wigeon, coot, whisk, moorhen, magpie, mallard, jay, garganey, shoveler,
pochard, lapwing, water rail, fox and cottontail. For the cottontail (minilepre) there are no limitations to the daily game bag per hunter, nor is it consequently necessary to transcribe the samples on the hunting card;

1.9) fox hunting in January 2020 can be carried out by teams identified by the ATCs in the form of the hunt with a follow-up dog. The members of the fox hunting team must be included in a daily list available to the supervisory bodies. In this period, hunting is however allowed by stalking;
1.10) the hunting of the cottontail (minilepre) in January 2020 is allowed, from stalking throughout the huntable territory of the Region or, with the use of hunting or pointing dogs, in the areas referred to in point 4.4 below) and in the Wildlife Hunting Companies.
2) To authorize wild boar hunting according to the following specifications:
2.1) pick-up is allowed in designated areas from 1 October 2019 to 31 January 2020, in compliance with the time span of three consecutive months provided for by Article 18 of Law 157/1992, according to the periods indicated for each District in Annex B) to this deed, which constitutes an integral and substantial part thereof;
2.2) In the dedicated areas referred to in art. 6 bis, paragraph 2 letter. i) of the regional law 3/1994 placed in the territory for planned hunting, hunting wild boar in hunt can be allowed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as long as they do not fall on days of hunting silence;
without prejudice to the three weekly hunting days and the days of hunting silence, for a better organization of the sampling the ATCs can vary the days set aside for hunting wild boar.
2.3) selective sampling in areas not suited to wild boar species, pursuant to the provisions of art. 6 bis, paragraph 2 letter. i) of Regional Law 3/1994, is allowed within the time limits set by the Regional Council Resolution no. 42 of 14 January 2019, from 1 January to 31 December 2019. ATCs may reserve the selective sampling on the species to the selection hunters registered in the wild boar hunting teams during the hunting period referred to in point 2.1) above in the areas not suitable up to 400 meters from the border of the suitable areas.
During the hunting period, it is allowed to place the posts in an unsuitable area up to 100 meters away from the boundary of the designated area;
2.4) in non-suitable areas, single hunt, on the hunt and with the endorsement method is allowed, from 1st October to 31st December 2019, to all hunters registered in the ATC and to hunters authorized in private institutes;
2.5) pending the implementation of sampling plans relating to non-suitable areas, hunted hunting can be envisaged in the periods identified for the area referred to in the previous point
2.1) in wooded and bushy areas located within the Wildlife Hunting Companies and Agritourism-Hunting Companies located in an unsuitable area, until the sampling plan assigned to each District is completed.
2.6) wild boar hunting in the Wildlife Hunting Companies located in a suitable area is allowed, in selection, in single form, in turn and hunted in the times set out in Annex B) for the District, within which they fall for the majority of the surface;
2.7) pursuant to the provisions of art. 73 1st paragraph of DPGR 48 / R / 2017, the selective collection on wild boar in suitable areas is reserved only for authorized hunters registered in the district teams. The regional council approves specific annual plans;
3) to set the following prudential seasonal game bag limits for species:
- lark, 50 animals per hunter, with a maximum of 10 animals per day,
- codon, quail and lapwing 25 animals per species and per hunter,
- dove 20 head per hunter, with a maximum of 5 head per day;
- brunette, 20 head per hunter,
- pochard, 10 animals per hunter, with a maximum of 5 animals per day;
- woodcock, 20 head per hunter of which 3 per day,

- fighter and red partridge, 10 animals per species and per hunter,
- partridge, 5 animals per hunter;
4) to establish, pursuant to art. 3 paragraph 2 of LR 20/2002, the following limitations for wandering hunting and the use of dogs:
4.1) from 9 December 2019 to 31 January 2020, the use of the follow dog is allowed for hunting wild boar in pursuit according to the specifications indicated in point 2);
4.2) from 9 December 2019 to 31 January 2020 the use of the follow dog is also allowed for hunting foxes in pursuit, with the teams identified for this purpose by the ATC;
4.3) from 1 to 31 January 2020 the use of the hunting and pointing dog and the roaming hunt in the territory on a scheduled hunt for woodcock hunting is allowed only in areas dedicated to wild boar and, in the remaining areas, only for interior of wooded areas according to the classification of regional law n. 39/2000; in this period, roaming hunting, even with the use of pointing or hunting dogs, is allowed in the hunting and hunting farms;
4.4) from 1 to 31 January 2020, the use of hunting or pointing dogs and roaming hunting is also permitted in the territories of the Lucca, Livorno, Massa and Pistoia districts and in the areas specifically identified, for each of the additional Contractors, in Annex A) to this deed, which constitutes an integral and substantial part thereof;
4.5) from 1 to 31 January 2020 the use of the retriever dog for hunting from fixed or temporary stalking is also allowed;
5) to establish that the training and training of dogs is allowed from 18 August 2019 to the Thursday preceding the third Sunday of September, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from sunrise to 11,00 and from 14,00 pm to 19,00 pm (summer time) throughout the region;
6) to prohibit the use of lead shot ammunition within all wetlands of the territory of the Tuscany Region, such as natural and artificial lakes, ponds, swamps, permanent marshes, oxbow lakes and fresh, salt and brackish;
7) to have, pursuant to Regional Council Resolution No. 454 of 16-06-2008 concerning "Ministerial Decree 17.10.2007 of the Ministry for the Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea - Minimum uniform criteria for the definition of relative conservation measures to special areas of conservation (SACs) and special protection areas (SPAs) "the following limitations valid for all regional SPAs:
• in January, hunting is allowed only on Thursdays and Sundays with the exception of hunting ungulates;
• prohibition of carrying out the pre-opening of the hunting activity;
• ban on the use of lead shot ammunition inside wetlands such as lakes, ponds, marshes, marshes, oxbow lakes and freshwater lagoons, as well as within a radius of 150 m from the outermost shores;
• prohibition of killing of specimens belonging to the Moretta species (Aythya fuligula);
• ban on carrying out hunting dog training activities before 1 September and after the closing of the hunting season;
• prohibition to exercise the levy in derogation on birds pursuant to art. 9 par. 1) lett. c) of Directive 2009/147 / EC;

• in relation to the SPAs falling in the humid area (Piana Fiorentina Ponds, Bientina, Padule di Fucecchio, Massaciuccoli, Bosco di Chiusi and Paduletta di Ramone, Valle dell'Inferno and Bandella, Piana Pratese Ponds, Lake Chiusi and Lake Montepulciano), prohibition culling, prior to 1 October, of specimens belonging to the species Codone (Anas acuta), Garganey (Spatula querquedula), Shoveler (Spatula clypeata), Teal (Anas crecca), Gadwall (Mareca strepera), Wigeon (Mareca penelope) ), Coot (Fulica atra), Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus), Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus), Common Snipe (Gallinago gallinago), Woodcock (Scolopax rusticola), Whisk (Lymnocryptes minimus), Lapwing;
8) to arrange that the regional paper hunting card must be delivered to the Municipality of residence upon collection of the card valid for the following season and in any case no later than August 31 of each year;
9) to also provide that pursuant to DGRT n. 803 of 24.07.2017, the use of the digital hunting card referred to in the application called "TosCaccia" replaces to all effects the compilation of the paper hunting card; hunters registered on the aforementioned application and who use it, are exempt from the withdrawal and return of the paper card;
10) to order that, in accordance with the provisions of Regional Law 3/1994 in Article 28, paragraph 9 bis, the culled sedentary and migratory wildlife must be noted on the hunting card immediately after the killing is ascertained; to point out that for hunting in hunting farms it is not compulsory to note the hunting days and the killed animals on the regional hunting card, without prejudice to the necessary possession of this document;
11) to establish, pursuant to article 11-quaterdecies, paragraph 5, of law no. 2, that the selection hunt can be exercised in compliance with the regulations in force in the periods identified by the specific Withdrawal Plans adopted with Regional Council Resolutions, for five days a week, excluding Tuesdays and Fridays. During the week, the selection hunting days are not combined with those carried out for other types of hunting in order to comply with the limits set out in art. 2005 paragraph 248 of the Regional Law 1/2. These days together with the other information about the collection activity and the slaughtered animals must be recorded using either the application called "TosCaccia", or the telephone / telematic / paper registration systems used by the ATCs and the Wildlife Farms, which replace a all effects the compilation of the card for the selection hunt as per art. 20 bis of Regional Law 2002/6; in the period between the third
Sunday in September and the following 31 January, the hunting days must in any case be noted in the hunting card referred to in art. 6 of Regional Law 20/2002 or in the “TosCaccia” App;
12) to establish that the early opening of the hunt in the days prior to the third Sunday of September will be authorized and regulated by a specific subsequent resolution. In order to ensure compliance with the time frame referred to in Article 18 paragraph 2 of Law 157/1992, the
hunting calendar of the species affected by the pre-opening will undergo an anticipation of the closing date of the same duration as the days granted in the early opening;
13) to approve the particular provisions relating to each regional District indicated in attachments A) and B) to this provision;

14) to finally acknowledge that pursuant to art. 28 paragraph 11 of Regional Law 3/94, the lists or maps of the areas where hunting is allowed in programmed form, the areas reserved for private hunting management and the areas where hunting is not allowed, can be consulted on the website of the Region.
