It does not stop the work of ENCI alongside the institutions through the signing of agreements aimed at enhancing the specialized dog lovers, both as regards concrete interventions on the territory, through combinations to be used in management activities of fauna control and monitoring of some species, and as regards the identification of dog areas of value, in which to carry out zootechnical checks of high quality and fundamental for the selection of dog breeds. Yesterday in Sicilia a memorandum of understanding was signed on the occasion of the meeting held at the Cabinet Office of the Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Rural Development and Mediterranean Fisheries.
The Hon. Tony Scylla, Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Rural Development and Mediterranean Fishing and Mario Candore, General Manager of the Department of Rural and Territorial Development and the Presidents of the Dog Groups: for the Trinacria Dog Group Michele Pizzuto, for the Peloritano Dog Group Carlo Giardina, for Catania Commissioner Gianni Vullo also representing the Sicilian Shepherd's Club, Cosimo Burti for Syracuse, Giuseppe Veraldi for Ragusa also representing the Cirneco dell'Etna Amateurs Society, for Enna Mario Di Prima, for Caltanissetta Giovanni Buccoleri, for Agrigento Francesco Macaluso for Marsala Paolo Pistone, for the Kennel Club Giorgio Varoli, for the Trapanese Dog Group Nicola Todaro, for Samannara Luigi Liotta, the President of the Regional Council Fabrizio La Rocca, the Councilor Antonino La Barbera and the President of ENCI.
With this initiative, the Board of Directors consolidates the role of ENCI as an actor of a modern dog world able, through all its components, to support organizations and institutions in the modern needs related to the territory. Paths, these, which are faced primarily thanks to the breeders, called to the task of select the most suitable subjects from a morpho-functional and health point of view, and thanks also to the conductors, who have the task of specializing these subjects in order to be able to offer institutions a reliable service for all management activities in which their intervention will be required.
It must also be emphasized the importance of recognized trainers, who fulfill the function of trainers and disseminators of modern training techniques. All these initiatives could not be undertaken without the fundamental contribution of dog groups and specialized companies, to which the task of promoting and coordinating the events on the territory goes, zootechnical checks and patents, to ensure that the selection of the dog and the use of the breeds take place in areas of particular naturalistic value (source: ENCI).
