Skeet shooting: Air Force, Carabinieri and Fire Brigade qualified for the Final of the Italian Winter Team Olympic Pit Championship.
Air Force, Fire Brigade and Carabinieri, these are the three teams of the Armed Forces and the Copri dello Stato that have gained access to the Final of the Italian Winter Team Olympic Pit Championship. In the competition, which took place on the platforms of the Tav Valle Aniene in Rome, the representative teams faced each other over a total distance of 600 targets each. At the end of the four series the verdict was clear and there was no need to resort to play-offs for the assignment of passes and medals. On the first step of hatred climbed the standard bearers of the Air Force Massimo Corce, Leonardo La Torre, Michele Dentico, Francesco Gai, Medoro Salvatore Rollo and Maurizio Iorli who totaled 529 points.
In second place the Fire Brigade represented by Pierluigi Sollami, Enrico Moncada, Cristiano Spendolini, Orazio Finocchiaro, Marcello De Colle and Ivano Giolito who achieved a total of 516, three points more than the Carabinieri team formed by Antonio Menicucci, Antonio Campus , Emanuel Stampa, Pierangelo Greco, Nicola Mauro and Nunziato Settimo, third with 513. On the occasion of the team competition, three Individual Grand Prix for the Olympic disciplines were also organized, which attracted 138 shooters to the Roman structure.
To impose themselves in the rankings of the top series were Simone Lorenzo Prosperi (Fiamme Oro) for the Olympic Pit with a score of 97/100 +1, Antonino Barillà (Marina Militare) of Villa San Giovanni (RC) for the Dobule Trap with 107 / 120 and Antonio Morandini (Fiamme Oro) from Capua (CE) for the Skeet with 88/100. The appointment with the Final of the Italian Fossa Team Championship is set for next 9 March, again at the Tav Valle Aniene.
