The municipal section of Almenno San Salvatore (in the province of Bergamo) of the Italian Federation of Hunting organized for the day of Sunday 13 August 2017 the 83rd edition of the Regional Bird Festival, a much awaited appointment. Parco Sant'Uberto will host the event and it will be possible to attend one bird singing competition, in addition to one hen race which will be dedicated to the memory of Franco Carsana.
In addition, the festival will feature a dog show of the hunting dog and the Bergamo shepherd, complete with the proclamation of the "best in show" in memory of Enrico Amoruso. The day before the event, then, will take place the Mass of St. Hubert and, at 19 pm, the Falconieri delle Orobie Group will illustrate the art of falconry through a series of lessons for the little ones that will cover hawks, owls and owls.
This last illustration will have the title “Hunting with the falcons”. This regional festival has existed since 1934, a period in which it was decided to enhance the local breeding of decoy birds as part of the events of the "September Orobico". From that moment and from year to year the event has been perfected, finding the ideal location in the Parco di Sant'Uberto.
