Two documents recently published by Legambiente they express the point of view of the environmental association regarding the conservation of wildlife in Italy and the phenomenon of poaching. Hunting Federation he never made any secret of having recognized national Legambiente in the past a non-ideological approach to the management of the fauna, which in many cases distinguished it from animal rights associations such as LAC, LAV, ENPA, LIPU and others, making it a credible and non-extremist interlocutor on environmental faunal issues with which to dialogue avoiding the useless "wall to wall" that in our country, unlike other European realities, has always characterized the relationship between hunting and environmental protection by falsely presenting them as irreconcilable.
Unfortunately, in the last period this pragmatic and non-fundamentalist attitude that distinguished it from the sad panorama of Italian environmentalism seems to have been put aside and the latest public releases of National Legambiente are of the same tenor as those of the other anti-hunt associations, which propose continuous biased interpretations and often without objective evidence on the state of the Italian fauna and on the risk factors for this, among which hunting is for them one of the main ones to be strongly limited if not eliminated.
The two documents we refer to have the claim of the objectivity of the contents, but they use the classic method of emotionality in communication, presenting partial or deliberately confused facts, from which derive statements that intend to strike public opinion in an ideological anti-hideous way. L'Federcaccia Studies and Research Office has prepared two counter-arguments to those of Legambiente, which can be consulted in the two annexes. We advise everyone to read these for a correct study (source: Hunting Federation).
