Necessary observations
Here are the words of Paolo Sparvoli, president of the National Free Hunting Association : " On the eve of this partial pre-opening, it is more than appropriate to make some observations. First, it must be considered that the huntable species – with a few very rare exceptions – are all species that are rapidly increasing in number and extremely problematic for biodiversity and agriculture: hooded crow/carcass; magpie; jay; wood pigeon; collared dove; and rock pigeon. And, finally, it must be remembered that shooting is almost exclusively permitted from a hide ."
13 out of 20 regions
Sparvoli continues: “ That said, it is truly incomprehensible how this “alms” was given to only 13 out of 20 regions while the other 7, which are evidently children of a lesser god, will have to wait for the general opening on September 20th .”
Imminent start
And finally: “ Well, despite this absurd, bizarre and almost ridiculous disparity which we hope will not be repeated in the future, I would like, on my own behalf, on behalf of the Presidency Office and of the entire Executive Committee, to express to all our Members and to all Italian hunters, the most cordial “Good luck” for this new hunting season which is about to begin .”
