The commitment of hunters
To all those who hate us, considering us criminals, ruthless and bloodthirsty murderers, we respond with the heart, with civil commitment and with solidarity. Ours is a 360-degree intervention, spontaneous and, above all, without sleazy propaganda purposes because we know all too well that no newspaper and no television will make the slightest mention of it by telling it to public opinion. We know this well, because it has already happened in the past, on the occasion of other catastrophes such as earthquakes or the Covid emergency, in which the hundreds of millions collected by hunters have gone unnoticed, without considering that most of those funds came from by elderly people, pensioners or workers.
Immediate action
We know that many hunters are engaged in the front line but we tell what we know directly and that is the immediate intervention of many hunters of the Free Hunt who in the Emilia-Romagna areas devastated by the flood, wore boots and the usual hunting clothes to go down into the shoveling mud and trying to save people, animals and things. And the less young and handsome ones were no less because they engaged in things they could and knew how to do, such as cooking and distributing hot drinks and comfort foods to the thousands of volunteers engaged in the most strenuous jobs.
Roll up your sleeves
Suffice it to say that in the Cesena area alone, up until Sunday evening, 4000 hot meals were prepared and distributed, many of which also based on excellent game meat, and that this humanitarian commitment and great solidarity continues unabated. Whether living room animal rights activists like it or not, hunters belong to that part of citizens who, instead of feeling sorry for themselves and watching television, roll up their sleeves and work hard to try to remedy the breakdowns caused precisely by those local administrations which too often have preferred to take care of wild boars and pheasants instead of taking care of the land. Personally, and on behalf of the entire Executive Committee of the Associazione Nazionale Libera Caccia, I am proud of the civil commitment of our members and I sincerely thank them for their valuable intervention (source: Libera Caccia).
