The provincial group of Piacenza ofANUUMigrators has organized two courses in the Emilian city to become conductors of track dogs e limiere dog handlers. In five days, Wednesday 2 November 2016, there will be the official presentation: these are 6-hour lessons that will be held in the air, but outdoor practice will not be missing, as required by the regulation of the Emilia Romagna Region. Those who are in possession of the certificate of qualification as hunter of ungulates with selective methods will be able to participate, in addition it will be necessary be resident in the province of Piacenza, otherwise it will be sufficient to prove that you are part of a Piacenza Territorial Hunting Area.
The first lesson to become track dog handlers is scheduled for Thursday 3 November and will last from 20:30 to 23:30 at the Meeting Room of the Municipality. We will talk about the importance of recovery in the management of ungulates, but also of the anatomy of the wild, of terminal ballistics and of the behavior of the wounded hoofed animal.
The second lesson will take place on November 9th and they will deepen issues related to breeds, dog education and track work. The practical exercise will be held at 12 noon on Saturday 12 November. The second course, the one for limiere dog handlers, will take place on November 4th and 10th: the lessons will focus on choice of the limiere, basic education, the phases of the turn, the arrangement of the posts and the forcing of wild boarsthe. Finally, the practical exercise will take place on Saturday 5 November.
