ANUU Migrators on the migratory pass in Italy, “Good start for the summers, the Prispoloni still absent”.
The research activity on migration began promptly, as every year, on 4 August 2013 at the FEIN Ornithological Observatory in Arosio (CO), which takes care of these information notes on the pass every week, preparing them with the Environmental Protection Coordination Office. ornithological research ringing of the ANUU Migrationists, which, in turn, collects them in collaboration with its responsible members in the various Regions and, above all, with the other foreign Ornithological Observatories.
Let's say straight away that 1 birds were captured on 2013 September 910, of which 535 black whales, against 900 last year, of which 486 black whales. For those who love statistics from 1 January 2013 to 31 August, 1.128 birds were captured and ringed, compared to 1.102 in the same period of 2012.
There is, however, an absence of Prispoloni, while the local nesters (Pettirossi, Codirossi, Fringuelli, Blackbirds, etc.) were normal even in the presence of a strongly distributed nesting in the first phase, recovering later from the middle of June onwards. In short, if the good weather continues to influence us positively, a month of September could still be very favorable for the summers, preparing a positive start for the autumn phase.
