Migratory Pass: Migratory ANUU provides some information on the passage of migratory birds detected by Greece in the 2014 season.
In October 2014, an important step was reported thrushes. It should be noted that the great steps of October take place during the day and not at night, as usually happens in these parts. The good and warm weather from 10 October to 25 December and the excellent vintage for olives throughout the territory made it easier for the thrushes to spread over vast locations. Many birds were reported after the snow at the end of the year, but the constant rains prevented their systematic hunting. In February 2015 there was a large presence of turdidae along the west coast of the country, towards the Ionian Sea. Overall it was a poor season from a pick-up point of view hunting, due to weather conditions. But it was a great season for the wood pigeons who stayed until the end of the season and also for the woodcocks in January and February.
