ANUU Migrators informs about the pass in Italy, the migration of the Thrush is kept constant.
Long migration that of Song Thrush, because after a peak on 12 and 13 October, this movement still took place on 17 and, in general, on the weekend. These reassuring news on the good state of health of the species are also confirmed to us by the south of France and with the arrival of migratory contingents on the 19th also in the south of Spain.
In short, a migration with not very exciting numerical peaks, but a constant and prolonged step. Even from the Tyrrhenian coast and from the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines we receive news of interesting days of presence, however conditioned by time, with particular reference to local winds. Excellent the step of the Fringuello, accompanied by Wood pigeon, which are for now the two most numerous species in this migratory season.
It is also necessary to report the appearance of the Redwing and Peppola in good standing with their arrival, which is generally noted at the end of October. Few of the Blackbirds, and even the Frosoni are desired, being present in small patchy groups.
Among the paridae, however all numerous, the presence of the Coal Tit and the Great Tit is excellent, abundant presences accompanied by those of the Siskin and the Swallows.
The appearance of the first snow on Monday 15 October, coinciding with the last rainy disturbance, led to a decrease in temperatures in the first days of the week, but the days of this last weekend resemble the famous Roman October. Towards the end of the month, however, forecasters predict a taste of winter. We'll see.
