In the session three days ago, Monday 11 June 2018, the Regional Council of Tuscany approved the resolution number 629 concerning the hunting notwithstanding the starling species.
Also for this year the withdrawal of the bird will start already on the occasion of the pre-opening and will end on December 16, 2018. The procedures are those set out in the resolution just mentioned. The Tuscan hunting associations have positively reported as al point 2 letter A orchards have also been included among the crops concerned for the implementation of the derogation as requested on several occasions in past years.
The maximum limit of items that can be withdrawn remains equal to 100 for the entire period, with a daily maximum that cannot go beyond 20 transfers. The associations have reminded all interested hunters and who practice this type of collection that the culled animals must be marked on the regional hunting card and promptly communicated to the competent offices in the manner prescribed by the Tuscany Region, by 20 November in order to ensure accurate monitoring of the sampling.
The Confederation of Tuscan Hunters and its Confederate associations (the regional Federcaccia of Tuscany, the ANUUMigratoristi and the ARCT) will remain fully available to support the obligations required of interested hunters.
