The paradox
We do not pretend that the needs of hunters are a priority among the country's issues, nor among the many concerns of the Interior MinisterBut, after all, why shouldn't there be an end to the bureaucratic obstinacy against hunters and Italian citizens? Fortunately, this was supposed to be the group that supported the hunting world and simplification.
The Theatre of the Absurd
We're at the theater of the absurd: over the past two or three years, the procedure for collecting the hefty sum of 25 cents per year (the "essential" cost of a five-year gun license) has been changed countless times, generating a terrifying confusion among police stations, treasuries, associations, and users. A backlog of circulars and instructions is unresolved. At best, it slows down the entire issuance process and even creates unpleasant inconvenience for those involved; because, let's remember, we're talking about the delicate management of gun ownership and use licenses.
Some considerations:
- Are you sure that this five-year tax of €1,27 cannot be avoided?
- But does the national credit system really need this gift of a few million euros in bank fees? They're more than the total state tax: the expense is greater than the company...
- Why, then, impose further complication of time and procedures for so many hunters and citizens who don't have direct access to digital procedures, and many don't even have access to bank branches in small villages? Until recently, the process was completed at the post office with a single login...
- If these 25 cents a year are truly essential, why not round up the government concession fee, as we've already suggested, generously, to 84 cents a year? We all gain in time, simplification, and even a few euros.
- Why, if you don't want to simplify things and prefer to always fight us even over the smallest details, don't you stop changing accounts and procedures every year (if not every month)? This is bureaucratic sadism, dear Minister. Our friends? Give us a break, Maestro De Curtis would have said (source: Arci Caccia).
