Arci Caccia Campania on the new 2014-15 Hunting Calendar; Sorrentino, “satisfied because it is balanced and gives certainty of law”.
The hunting calendar for the 2014/2015 season has been approved by the Regional Council. The drafting of the document was reached after a phase of confrontation between the various stakeholders and in compliance with the scientific indications provided by Ispra. The pre-opening is scheduled for September 4st, from temporary posting, to the turtledove, magpie and jay species. Species that can also be taken on 7 and 11 September while on 14 and XNUMX September only magpie and jay will remain huntable.
The general opening has been set for the third Sunday of September and with an articulated system of openings and closings for single species it will go until January 31st. The quail will be hunted from the third Sunday of September until 30 November; the hypothesis of advance was not taken into consideration since it is in contrast with scientific opinions and, moreover, would have entailed a strong advance in the closure. The novelty, compared to last year, is the opening on October 31st and closing on January 9st for snipe, whisk and redwing. From October XNUMXst to February XNUMXth it will be possible to hunt the wood pigeon and the hooded crow.
“We are satisfied - declared Sergio Sorrentino, regional president of Arci Caccia and national vice president - because the approved calendar determines that certainty of law that Campania hunters expected and which in recent years has often failed. Balancing some parts of the calendar was necessary as hunting in our beautiful countryside is far preferable rather than in administrative courts. The calendar is balanced, modern, consistent with the scientific data available and is also unassailable on a regulatory level ”.
"We hope - concludes Sergio Sorrentino - that the climate of responsibility and comparison that was experienced in the preparation of the hunting calendar can continue to affirm the reasons and perspectives of hunting in the context of better management of the territory and fauna and of a more rewarding activity for Campania hunters ”.
