Enrique Rosello, Regional President ofArci Caccia of Campania comments on the atmosphere that reigns with the approval of hunting calendar 2018/2019: "Every year we approach the appointment of the approval of the hunting calendar with great concerns, due to the provocative approach that sees animalist fundamentalism ready for ideological barricades and which finds its counterpoint in equally fundamentalist reactions from some sectors of hunting associations which instrumentally stands as the flag bearer of a particular species, even insignificant for the hunter, only with the intention of thinking about hunting for "ghosts". Of course, hunters don't bite anymore.
The work done with the other recognized national hunting associations has been positive. Regret for the usual absence of the FIDC. Do we have to make an account of his predisposition to loneliness? We hope not. The common work has found a listening and benevolence in the agricultural business organizations to which our gratitude goes. We hope it will help build a no longer postponable path of collaboration indispensable to the good reasons for hunting. For the hunters it went better than last year and there is appreciation in the circles and in the armories. Two emblematic points, dog training from 1st to 15th September (except Tuesdays and Fridays) and wood pigeon in pre-opening 1-5-9 September and then we go to the General Opening on September 16th. The priority of the protection of agricultural crops and the role of the hunter in this social function was formally recognized with the authorization to hunt occasional wild boar a true investiture of the hunter.
The law states: "The hunting of wild boar is allowed in the periods and on the days in which thecollective killing, exclusively outside the areas intended for driven hunts. Therefore, the possibility for the individual hunter, in the exercise of other forms of hunting, of killing the wild boar is contemplated ". Also this occasion of the calendar must be included in the new role of the Southern Regions in the ARCI Caccia, one and indivisible, so as demonstrated in the Planning Conference held on June 16 in Matera. This result matured in the positive collaboration between the management group of Campania and ARCI Caccia Nazionale with its National President Sergio Sorrentino who within the Regional Wildlife Technical Committee for hunting he lives in the territory on the "field" the experience of wildlife management ".
