The Constituent Assembly of European Ecologists and Green Civic Networks took place in Rome during which environmentalist contents linked to extremist ideologies emerged.
The national President of Arci Caccia, Osvaldo Veneziano, commented on the work of the environmental assembly "As far as we have read, even among other significant proposals, the" usual old "Greens have re-proposed themselves with their antiquated extremist ideology that accompanied a history of failures ".
Continuing, Veneziano affirms, “Even this assembly represented only a lost opportunity to build, in our country, that environmentalism with high and universal contents that is affirming itself in Europe. The monotonous concern of these gentlemen is always that of not being credible to citizens as a positive and constructive environmental force ”.
Furthermore, says the president of Arci Caccia, “Also on this occasion, however, they have not lost the habit of repeating themselves in the refrain of the abolition of hunting while the theme is respect for good Italian and European rules. A classic of their repertoire that does not enchant and has never enchanted if not a small minority of voters ".
Finally concludes Veneziano “In the dramatic crisis we are experiencing with employment problems, those of hydrogeological instability, pollution, the troubles of agriculture, their phobia is all the“ hunting ”; a fixation that unites them to the seductive Hunters Party. Fortunately, there are the Italians who wisely leave the fanatics of the clash at home and will continue to do so in the future with the good of the country at heart. This is why fundamentalisms are and will always be avoided ”.
