Closing the hunt
Last November, the Council of State upheld the appeal of some environmental/animal rights associations brought against the Marche Regional Administrative Court order no. 343/2022. The Region, on today's date, followed up on the order given by Council of State. Compared to the original calendar, the decisions taken are: woodcock closing 31 December, turdidi 9 January, aquatic 19 January (we await the publication of the DGR for confirmation). In practice, the decisions already approved by other Regions such as Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Campania and Sicily have also been taken. It certainly doesn't make us happy to have to agree to see closure to some species anticipated, but "against" the Council of State there is nothing that can be done.
Animal appeals
It is useless to tell nonsense, it is useless to be intellectually dishonest and it is useless to tell lies only for the usual "card propaganda". So it went, certainly not for our choices. In other Regions they have been more fortunate than us, mainly due to the amount of data in their possession and, subsequently, due to defects in the appeal presented by the Environmentalists/Animalists.
The commitment of Arci Caccia
Arci Caccia Marche's commitment will remain to tell the true story, without making fun of hunters, deluding them with useless proclamations. We need data, we need studies. Results approved by the scientific community and, therefore, finally recognized by the institutions. The "homemade studies" and the results "turned back" with a ruler on a map are useless, if not for the usual "card propaganda". Seriousness will repay hunting and hunters, maybe not immediately, but it will. Certainly, if hunting does not regain its rightful place in society, all efforts made will be in vain.
