Reconstitution of the committee
THEARCI hunting has among its founding ideal principles, the guarantee of constitutional rights for all, pluralism and the affirmation of free democratic associations. Consistently, the National Presidency has resolved to challenge the decree n. 263988 of 22/05/2022 in application of art. 1 paragraph 453 of law 197/2022, which reconstitutes the National Faunistic Technical Committee pursuant to art. 8 of law 157/92. We have always hoped for the reconstitution of the Committee, suddenly suspended in 2012. We do not agree with the "deforested" version (the term used says it all) proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests.
Wildlife management
Representation for recognized hunting associations is reduced to three, in defiance of the provisions of Law 157, thus also that of the agricultural world and the environmentalist world is reduced; the Italian Alpine Club disappears, a prestigious and consistent historical association. What is the use of creating a place for analysis and comparison on issues of wildlife management, an unavailable heritage of the state (of all Italians!) by limiting the representation of interested parties?
A modification of the decree
In recent months we have spoken to the political forces and representatives of national and regional institutions on the question, asking, and not alone, for a modification of the Decree and to re-propose the provisions of Law 157/92, fully in force. We were amazed by the paradox that bodies by law no longer have functions in the matter are proposed, such as the Provinces, while the recognized Associations are cancelled. We must say that the wise recommendation of the State-Regions Conference, to resume legal representation, was rejected by the Government and that, to the punctual questioning of the Hon. Vaccari in the Agriculture Commission, then no responses or consequences followed.
It will be our commitment to formalize a request for a meeting with all national and regional political representations to have precise commitments on the issues of "aggression" against representative democracy, on threats to social hunting and to the role of voluntary work, including hunting. This is a battle that ARCI Caccia wages in the interest of everyone and of the country in general, opposed by FIdC and other hunting associations which, after announcing their availability, changed their position with the support of arms and ammunition manufacturers, improperly entered the field, not foreseen by the law, appointing themselves wildlife operators even though they are not bearers of interests of the citizens and of the public opinion of the country. We denounce, with an even louder voice, those who in fact keep silent and consent and, those who rejoice without understanding that the hunting world is weakened and isolated and its ability to dialogue with society in the territories, even where the hunters and the best managers of the associations hunting are producers and protectors of the environment and fauna (source: Arci Caccia).
