Arci Caccia Piemonte meets the regional councilor Giorgio Ferrero to discuss the hunting calendar, regional law and wildlife plan.
The Press Office of the Piedmont Regional Council has communicated that the regional councilor for agriculture Giorgio Ferrero met the regional leaders of the Arci in Ponzone Hunting, led by president Lino Rava. The possible improvements in the hunting calendar are under discussion. “It was a positive meeting”, commented Giorgio Ferrero, “which took place in a climate of mutual respect, which is essential for finding the right solutions on such a complex and delicate issue as that of hunting. The choice of those who preferred the way of confrontation, even if they did not share some contents of the hunting calendar, was appreciated to that of resorting to the TAR. This is why we are working with those who are willing to find proposals to share with farmers and environmentalists ”.
The Arci Caccia, in a statement issued after the meeting - announced that it had proposed significant changes to the 2015-2016 hunting calendar to the Regional Councilor Giorgio Ferrero and highlighted that the association has sought and seeks dialogue in order to reach an agreement allowing the general opening of the hunt on 27 September.
"We believe - it is emphasized in the note from the Arci Caccia - that it was a serious mistake to promote the appeal to the Piedmont Regional Administrative Court as the other Hunting Associations did, as it is not with the clash or the perennial recourse to judicial procedures that are resolved problems. The comparison of merit and dialogue are our main road and we will pursue it, as well as with the Region, also with the Agricultural Associations, the environmentalist world that is not prejudiced against hunting and with those Hunting Associations that make themselves available. We want to discuss with the Region today on the hunting calendar and soon on the new regional law on hunting, as well as on the Regional Wildlife Hunting Plan, which we would like to conquer in the coming months.
A great and important job awaits us and we as Arci Caccia will be there with our proposals and with our environmental and hunting culture. In doing so, we believe that we represent the interest of all Piedmontese hunters. The regional Arci Caccia would like to thank the Councilor Giorgio Ferrero for his willingness ”.
