The provincial congress of the Arcicaccia took place today in Rome with the election of the newly elected president, Andrea Severi Caccia: a turning point is needed in Rome, Lazio and Italy.
Andrea Severi, 39, post graduate office manager of the Faculty of Economics of Roma Tre, is the new provincial president of Arcicaccia. He takes the baton from Claudio Terribili to whom the management team of the association has asked to commit themselves, with the next congress, on the regional front.
The election of Andrea Severi is the result of a collective choice gained in the board of the association during the course of the provincial congress, chaired by Benedetto Valente, and which was attended by Osvaldo Veneziano, president of the Arcicaccia and Marco Ciarafoni, president of the National Council of the Arcicaccia.
During the debate the delegates to the congress, starting with the report by Claudio Terribili, underlined the need for a turning point for Italian hunting such as to make it re-emerge its cultural profile and its social usefulness from the point of view of environmental protection and the reconstruction of the faunal heritage.
The road of demagogy has led the hunt towards corporate shores and resounding defeats such as to jeopardize popular and sustainable hunting as a peculiarity of our country in the European context. Therefore, a different march is needed, which, starting from the good existing laws and their concrete application, allows hunting to be a responsible activity in harmony with the collective interests and, at the same time, gratifying for those who exercise it.
The congress was also attended by Aurelio Lo Fazio, provincial councilor for agriculture and hunting, who claimed the work of a four-year period that will lead to the settlement of the two ATCs in the province of Rome before the end of the legislature.
"It is difficult to hide, in these moments a pinch of emotion - declares the new president Andrea Severi - I am aware that the assignment that has been given to me must be worthily honored by daily work by periodically subjecting myself to a confrontation with the clubs, especially on need to reverse the course and bring sustainable hunting back into schools, families and social gatherings.
Emancipate to emancipate because we find ourselves again in a very delicate season in which the maximalisms of every place are undermining the extraordinary synthesis obtained with national and regional law.
Finally, I would like to clarify that the choice of placing schools at the center of our associative effort, among other things, is not accidental; the inevitable aging of the hunting population and the premature abandonment of many forces us to go back to talking to the very young; the side-by-side is not the only symbol that can simplistically represent us in the eyes of society, the dog must also be, the good governance of the territory, a well-kept stalking, the sweat and the eyes of those who, since childhood, watching the deeds or accompanying "The grown-ups", may learn to love and respect nature beyond the silly stereotypes that many try to pass into our society ".
In the next few days the provincial executive council will be convened to complete the association's governing team, giving strength and recognition to that activity that takes place every day throughout the provincial territory.
