Arci Caccia and Federcaccia offer their collaboration against the criminals who kill bears.
The Presidents of Federcaccia and Arci Caccia have sent a letter to the President of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, dr. Antonio Carrara and the Councilor for Hunting of the Abruzzo Region, dr. Dino Pepe, to offer their full willingness to collaborate in any initiative aimed at countering any action against a precious wild such as the Marsicano Brown Bear. Below is the full text of the letter:
"Dear President, Dear Councilor,
we express the strongest condemnation for the dramatic, criminal attacks that are repeated against the Marsican Bear.
In compliance with the "Agreement" signed by us to the Ministry of the Environment to participate in the protection of the Marsican Bear, we ask you to call an urgent meeting to verify the best and most effective actions that allow us to make our service available voluntary surveillance, coordinated by the State Forestry Corps, to intensify the prevention and repression of "poaching" however motivated and by whoever is represented.
We also remain available for other initiatives deemed to be proposed to immediately "stop" criminal activity ".
