Arci Caccia Umbria, for wild boar hunting it is necessary to insert the hunt, in single and the turn. and remove unnecessary exclusivity.
The Arci Caccia dell'Umbria, for some time now, has presented, as requested by the regional councilor Fernanda Cecchini, its evaluations and some proposals for changes to the draft regulation for wild boar hunting. The controversies of these days and misplaced inferences lead us to re-point out the position of the association so that hunters and farmers can get a complete idea. Our proposal includes hunting in hunt, single and shot. As regards the endorsement, we believe it is useful to establish a register of groups at each Atc, with the registration procedures envisaged for the teams. The groups can be made up of a minimum of three to a maximum of six hunters with the possibility of hosting two other hunters as long as they are enabled and in compliance with the maximum ceiling. Furthermore, for groups there is an economic contribution established by the ATC, as for the registration of the teams, the choice of the area, the distances of activity between the different groups, the use of a single limiere dog and the maximum width of the area (tabulated), in which to carry out the endorsement that is scheduled on the days established by the hunting calendar for hunted hunting. In addition, the proposal provides for safety regulations (high visibility jackets, tables and badges, radio use), the exclusive registration to a single group and the carrying out of the tour only in the territory with programmed hunting not sectorized and not assigned to the teams (25% of the non-sectoral dedicated area).
As for hunting in pursuit, we have defined the criterion for assigning the sectors, detailing the scores. This system has the strength to assign the sectors with merit and reward to the teams that participate in the management and at the same time it also guarantees respect for tradition and the size of the team. We asked for the possibility that the ATCs can have a margin of flexibility with respect to the peremptory nature of the minimum number of participants (twenty) of the teams that pursue hunting in pursuit. Our proposal also intervenes on wild boar hunting carried out individually. In this case it can be carried out only on the aspect, with rifled barrel equipped with aiming optics and bow exclusively in the territory for programmed hunting not sectorized. Particular measures are foreseen for the use of the bow.
Finally, for the single form for stalking, as proposed, the forecast of the hunting calendar appears excessively limiting, which provides for the exclusivity in the hunting day for wild boar hunting, being a stalking hunt with both bow and rifled barrel as it is a "twilight hunt". We have proposed that wild boar hunting in any foreseen form (hunted, single stalking) must be carried out on the same days foreseen by the hunting calendar. "We have presented a proposal that looks to the future and to the management of the species, trying to give everyone the right to practice wild boar hunting in the form that each of us deems most appropriate, declares Emanuele Bennati, regional president of the Arci Caccia dell ' Umbria. The proposal provides a land management tool, identifying for each area, whether suitable or not, a subject who will be able to exercise control over the species, also meeting the needs of farmers who continue to report damage to agricultural crops. In addition, the risk that the management of the wild boar becomes the exclusivity of the teams exposes them to the risk of having to bear the compensation for damages, as required by the current regulation. "
I believe it is incorrect to disclose distorted information that continues to fuel controversy in the hunting world, when those who disclose certain information have considered it appropriate as always, not to present any proposal and not to take any decision. It is certain that our proposal will not make everyone agree but we have been able to assume our responsibilities, without wallowing in the murky for mere membership interests, continues President Bennati. It is time to say enough to these not very constructive attitudes that damage only the world of hunting; we need responsibility and look to the future because hunting needs certainties. I also want to address Councilor Fernanda Cecchini. We all have a duty to put an end to the modification of the regulation which has never lasted for about two years now; this story has monopolized the discussion, diverting attention from the management of the territory, the environment and other forms of hunting that are experiencing a profound crisis due to a lack of planning of management interventions capable of responding to the needs of farmers, hunters , but also of environmentalists.
