Arcicaccia Lucca expresses its opinion on wild boar hunting in unsuitable areas.
From our point of view, a complicated and structured problem such as that of the presence of wild boars in areas where wild boar hunting in the traditional form cannot be carried out, cannot be solved with a simple or simplistic solution, effective solutions must be found but that in the at the same time they are able to cover and understand everyone's needs and above all the protection and safety of those who live, work or walk in these areas: there is a need for planning and a vision at least in the medium term. On these topics can not be made "tests" that could be and according to our. point of view (we hope to be wrong) inconclusive and dangerous. We cannot hide behind a finger by saying that we only share the political direction, we are sure that whoever creates and shares a rule "politically" is directly responsible for it.
The solution found does not go in this direction but discharges both ATC and the Province from their responsibilities, highlighting the short-sightedness of all those who have signed this regulation, an act created specifically without rules, without controls, in order to be able to give a free hand. to those who consider this type of hunting a tool to make money and those hunting associations that in order to find some more members have gone to satisfy the hunting itches of people who are not very willing to follow the rules and protocols that exist for the beltlai teams. Later downloading (as the law provides ..) any problems on individuals.
In our opinion, the problem cannot be handled like this: shooting a ball is not the same as shooting a pellet shell, it seems obvious but to avoid problems in hunting boar in batting form, rules have been defined.
The new regulation in unsuitable areas actually authorizes hunting in the form of a hunt, it is true that it provides for a maximum number of three participants for each "team" but as we all know it is easy to evade and it is not very controllable. Anyone who will carry out this type of hunting in this form will have no obligation to stake, informing people of the danger that this type of hunting brings to the visitors of the places interested in the hunt, which is instead rightly obligatory for the beltlai teams. So it will be easy to find yourself in the middle of a joke without being aware of it, with the risks that we can all understand: in this regulation it is not mentioned, it is not foreseen.
Those who will have restrictions are hunters who do other types of hunting, the territory at their disposal will be further restricted and those enrolled in the teams that must give availability for control interventions in the territories contiguous to the suitable areas, well but they will be able to hunt them only on Thursday! ! since to reach the assigned slaughter plan they have to hunt on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in the designated areas, how do they also intervene on Thursdays? Do they miss a day of hunting since the law only provides for 3 outings per week or are they in Article 37 so they don't stamp their card? Are the culled animals included in the assigned plan? We have asked to remove this constraint ...
For those who hunt wild boar in single form, there is no contribution to prevention except a generic "they must contribute to the interventions" but when? The teams are "forced" to carry out chase interventions, positioning of bollards and fences, this obviously during the hunting stoppages, given that the regulation does not provide for mandatory or penalties (instead foreseen for the teams). Do you really think these hunters will become available after January 31st? Out of bottle, out of love. So the problems in cultivated land would continue to exist.
It has now been proven that eradication is not possible given the morphology of the land and the habits of the species and only with a continuous and assiduous presence on the territory can the habits of these animals be changed. In fact, there is a difference in treatment between the hunters who are members of the teams and those who pay € 17 (therefore even less) will be able to carry out the same hunt.
For these reasons we have NOT shared and signed the regulation, we are and will always be available for a peaceful discussion on a topic that we believe can also change the point of view of many people on the hunter: from The "problem" to the problem solver.
