A fixed and above all historical appointment: Sunday March 13 is scheduled for feast of hunting and hunters of the Prenestini Mountains, an event that binds the circus ArciCaccia local and the citizens of Palestrina, in the province of Rome. The collaboration relationship is very close and fruitful, as is well evidenced by the parties like this that are set up periodically. Moreover, the association has long since strengthened its commitment to the defense and safeguarding of the provincial territory, without forgetting the environmental surveillance and the fight against poaching phenomena. The convivial meeting organized in three days will be useful precisely to raise awareness of these issues.
ArciCaccia members and their families will meet at 13pm at the Montoni Restaurant in Via Quadrelle, in Palestrina precisely, to taste the dishes of the excellent cuisine that have already been baked and tested in recent years. The president of the Lazio club will not be missing, Edward Tagliacozzo, in addition to the directors of the committee and of the association itself. The day will be characterized by entertainment, surprises and important awards reserved for hunters who have distinguished themselves most for their skill and fairness.
The territory of the Prenestini Mountains it is well known for its environmental and natural variety. It is a rather long chain, with an average height of 850 meters: wild animals are frequent and we can mention, among others, wild boars, but also rarer species, primarily the toad and the green lizard. There is no shortage of birds of prey such as the buzzard, the sparrow hawk and the kestrel. Hunting is rather practiced and with quality results, consequently one can imagine how united the hunting community of the place is.
The Festa della Caccia will therefore be dedicated to the typical and long social lunch: past editions have made people talk about them in a positive way for serenity, fraternity and friendship, elements that are always present. In addition to game, the Montoni Restaurant is appreciated for its fish-based menus, dishes that ArciCaccia herself has repeatedly wished to experiment.
