Saturday 9 September the Bonardo di Bra (CN) armory hosted many friends and customers for the usual presentation of the market following the holidays in which the Franchi with the representative of Piedmont and Liguria, Giorgio Bellotti, and the advertising witness Andrea Cavaglià. The strong family team and collaborators of the well-known armory followed with admirable competence and dedication the people who, in large numbers, took turns in the covered areas set up in the large outdoor area available to the business.
The Franchi brand stood out in strategic points and the small-caliber over-and-under shotguns, a beautiful prerogative of the company, crowned the most titled guest, the new Horizon air rifle, the first rifled rifle for a central firing cartridge of the brand which is now based in Urbino. There was indeed a Franchi carbine in the 70s called Centennial, but chambered only in the .22 LR rimfire, so the current creation has all the birthright rights under the aegis of the Orange F.
The comments of the area hunters who have embraced it are simple and direct Horizon immediately appreciating the low weight even with the steel castle, the maneuverability, the functionality of the bolt with three front wings, the solutions of some grip details on the synthetic stock designed to favor the different ways of tightening the weapon to prepare for the shot. What was not possible to notice is the good performance on the shooting counter, but we can personally assure this after having carried out repeated tests at the shooting range.
Luigi Franchi was a Mr. Rifleman, not today's Franci who look like little toys made of wood and scrap metal
