On 21 August 2013, Tg2 launched yet another blow against the hunting world, with a report by the journalist Lidia Scogniamiglio, in which, without any justified reason or logical motivation, he united the work of an arsonist with the world of hunting, making to pass this gesture as an almost daily practice put in place by hunters, for reasons that evidently appear clear only to her. We are sorry for Scogniamiglio and for Tg2 but, in this case, they did the math without the host and, albeit in the silence, now congenital, of all the hunting associations, which should defend, at least by statute, the hunting world ( even defending its reputation), the SVI does not sleep and immediately alerted its Legal Department to take the necessary steps to respond in kind to such atrocities.
So much was due to him.

The undersigned attorney, in the name and on behalf of Mr. Mauro Panella, in the capacity of President and Legal Representative of the Association "Sindacato Venatorio Italiano" (SVI), based in QUarto (NA), cap. 80010, via Pantaleo n.99, with this deed and with reference to the telephone transmission referred to in the object, informs you - in the context of self-protection - the following:

The news as reported by the journalist Lidia Scognamiglio appears to be unfounded and defamatory. In reality, it is well known that this episode was committed by an auxiliary of the antincndi service who has nothing to do with the world of hunting. In fact, it should be remembered that hunters have an active role in the protection of the woods and against fires, so much so that they are repeatedly referred to as "the sentinels of the woods", as well as assisting the operators in extinguishing fires.. It is also not clear what is the economic interest announced by the journalist concerning the poop, on the contrary, hunters would be the category most penalized by the fire of a wooded area, in fact, article 10 of the law, n.353 of 21/11.2000/XNUMX states that ... "They are also violated for ten years, limited to the stands of wooded areas crossed by fire, grazing and hunting .."
Well, it is clear that the statements made by the journalist have contributed further to defame and damage the image of a category, that of hunters, made up of honest people and who for some time have undergone a campaign of defamation by people who do not understand. what is the true meaning of a millenary activity and today managed with very strict laws and exercised by citizens - taxpayers proud of having an immaculate criminal record.
Therefore, and without any further investigation, it is undisputed to affirm that the statements made by the journalist Lidia Scognamiglio and the consequent conduct maintained by the same, unequivocally configured the hypotheses of crime envisaged and punished by articles 596 et seq. of the Pnal Code as well as any other legal action that may be brought in civil proceedings.
All of the above stated and considered, formally the SS.LL. in address to proceed with the rectification pursuant to Article 8 of Law n.47 / 1948 and subsequent mod. and pursuant to Law no.223 / 1990 and subsequent mod. of the defamatory statements referred to above in the manner and forms as provided and governed by the law, naturally by giving notice to the undersigned law firm, no later than 10 days from receipt of this letter.
If the term assigned to you has passed in vain, the competent Judicial Authority will appeal.
