Bana's letter
Antonio Bana, President of Assoarmeri, in wishing the whole sector a great good luck for the imminent opening of the hunting season, intervenes in the face of the dangerous drift on the provisions of Administrative Courts and the "potential stop" to hunting. For those who, like me, were born into a family of hunters but above all of people attentive to nature and its environmental values, cannot remain indifferent to the media attack carried out in the courtrooms against hunting activity. Today, or perhaps always, in Europe we look at hunting in a constructive way, while in Italy this signal seems to be ignored by those who do not want to listen. Remember that the beating heart of the Directive 79/409 / EEC, concerning precisely the conservation of wild birds, fully recognizes the legitimacy of hunting in all its forms as an instrument of sustainable exploitation.
Hunting management
Hunting is also able, as a natural activity, to generate important social, cultural, economic and environmental repercussions in various areas of theXNUMX-XNUMX business days and therefore also in our country. As we know, hunting is largely limited to a few specifically mentioned and established species a series of ecological principles and legal obligations applicable to hunting to which the Member States must and implement through national legislation. These principles and obligations constitute the reference discipline for the correct management of hunting. It is therefore essential and necessary to start a constant and lasting dialogue to develop cooperation between all governmental and non-governmental bodies interested and involved in the conservation and sustainable use of wild avifauna present in Europe, and therefore also in Italy.
The promotion of hunting
Respect must be respected360 ° activity by all hunters, from hunting associations, from the arms sector, from the arms and ammunition manufacturing industry, from the artisans who work in the sector (flagship of our Italian know-how) for a hunt - the Italian one - aimed at sustainability and aimed at a better understanding of the legal and technical-scientific aspects. All this heritage of ours is always aimed at respecting common agreements for a program of scientific conservation and awareness-raising actions aimed at promoting a hunting activity which, we must not forget, has always given a hand to that part of our country's GDP for all the multisectoral induced it has always created.
