Meetings and conferences
A busy weekend forHon. Francesco Bruzzone, which traveled between Verona and Brescia, for a series of meetings and conferences dedicated to the hunting world. The first proponent of the proposed amendment to the hunting law, which has recently caused quite a stir in both the animal rights and political worlds, met with the national and regional presidents of the hunting associations present at the fair.
Eight points
“A useful opportunity to take stock of the situation and clarify the technical-legal aspects relating to the eight points presented: united we win, even more so if the requests presented are shared, lawful and legitimate from every point of view. ISPRA itself and the Committee of the Regions have expressed themselves favorably on some important points, some improvements will certainly be made, but on the substance we will not go back an inch" explained Bruzzone.
The M5S amendments
The Northern League deputy also pointed out the merely specious quantity of amendments presented by the Five Star Movement, inadmissible or bordering on the absurd: proposals to protect mice and rats, not to mention the inclusion of non-native species in the list of particularly protected ones , such as the Jamaican humpback, a species of non-native duck whose eradication in the wild ISPRA has been calling for years as it risks bringing the very rare rusty humpback to extinction.
Hunting calendars
Also present at the meeting with the associations was the mayor of Monfalcone Anna Maria Cisint, who on the point of hunting calendars highlighted how regional autonomy can benefit targeted and diversified choices by territory and faunal presence: "On the hunting calendars, hunters have the right to receive certainties and to go hunting without suffering potential interruptions generated by the appeals and consequent sentences of the regional TAR; a vicious cycle at the expense of the community that must be stopped."
