THETerritorial area of Biella hunting 1 he specified the dates and modules to be studied in depth as regards the qualification course the sampling of the species of the typical alpine fauna (black grouse, ptarmigan, rock partridge and white hare). On Monday 5 June the black grouse will be studied in depth, in particular the taxonomic classification, the geographical distribution, the census methods, the evaluation of the hypothesis of hunting.
Other topics to be studied will be those of morphological description, predation, disturbance caused by anthropogenic activities, possible pathologies and environmental improvements that can be made. For each of the previously mentioned species all these aspects will be studied. In the general part of the course, space will also be given to hatching and the use of pointing dogs, in order to have a more complete picture possible.
On 10 June, then, it will be the turn of the field trip. This is an organized excursion that will culminate in black grouse census, the rock partridge or the rock partridge. In case of organization in the summer period there would have been the possibility of involving pointing dogs in the session. At the summer session you can still participate, but always outside the times that have been set by the course.
