As expected by 2016-2017 hunting calendar of Abruzzo,Territorial Eagle Hunting Area it has drawn up, as happened in previous years, the partridge collection plan. The document was sent to the Province and the Region. The goal is to get a planned withdrawal capable of respecting the maximum limit, involving registered and licensed hunters. Any hunter will be able to shoot during this season no more than six partridges.
Each killing must be reported on the card and then communicated, within two days, to the same ATC Aquila. Once the maximum ceiling is reached, the hunt will be closed. The aims of the plan are essentially three: the study of partridges after release, the study of their survival rate and the formation of a population in various study areas. Furthermore, this plan consists of five distinct phases.
The first involves the implementation of environmental improvement works by tilling the land. We then move on to the containment of foxes and crows through plans authorized by ISPRA, while the third phase consists in the release of sneezes with identification rings. The fourth phase took place between late August and early September with the late summer census, followed by thelast phase with the spring census and the use of prompts to identify any couples.
