La Environment and Natural Systems Directorate of the Lazio Region has announced the date of the auction of some specimens of wild boars captured in Regional Park of Bracciano-Martignano. The appointment was set for next May 9 at 12, specifically at the headquarters of the same Park located in the city of Bracciano, in the province of Rome. The natural area was established in 1999 and has an equal size 170 square kilometers: in its territory, as the name suggests, the Bracciano and Martignano lakes fall.
The public auction will have as its object the sale of live specimens of ungulates, to be precise, those captured under the plan for the reduction of damage to the agricultural sector. Who will be admitted? As can be read in the official notice, the auction will involve the owners and legal representatives of processing and sales companies, wildlife breeding companies for food purposes, wildlife-hunting farms, agritourism-hunting farms, obviously in compliance with the authorizations.
For each wild boar the basic auction price is equal to 3 euros per kilo, inclusive of VAT and with the weight calculated on the live animal. Ungulates weighing less than 10 kilos will be evaluated as if they weighed 10 kilos. The ranking will then be established on the basis of the economic offer deemed most advantageous for the Park Authority. On the contrary, with the same economic offer, a draw will be held, as required by law.
Sorry but the last modification of 157/92 if I'm not mistaken, prohibits the placing on the whole Italian territory of the wild boar.
I would like to know how AFVs and ATVs will release live boars purchased on their hunting grounds unless they are all fenced off ???
A greeting
