Some time ago we were happy to take the usual photos of a new version of the mighty Benelli Super Black Eagle III, the smooth-bore semi-auto chambered for 12/89 in which 12/70 and 12/76 caliber cartridges are also safely fired. The wild animals of choice for such a rifle are geese and turkeys, therefore wetlands or tall forests with not too dense undergrowth: we seem to observe with the mind's eye those paintings and prints in which the hunters from beyond are portrayed. ocean dressed in deerskin suits, a Davy Crockett hat with a raccoon's face overhanging the forehead and the light and dark ringed tail hanging on the nape: the danger to the wild was brought in those nineteenth century with weapons very different, but with a spirit equally willing to capture something excellent to put in the pot.
Today the need is not so looming and the hunt takes place to relive a ritual that has come down to us for tens of thousands of years: yet to many detractors it does not seem true that there are people with such feelings even if they then join them to enjoy the pleasures of the table because a roast goose, a baked turkey or a sublime skewer of thrushes soothes the spirits, unites the minds and brings together the minds much more than the philosophical disputes over tofu and soybean sprouts. And this is said with all due respect and respect for those who do not think so, hoping that they will have equal feelings towards us. Anyone have any doubts about it? Yes, we too: patience. We have just named three types of game very different from each other and this dyscrasia does not come by chance because the rifle we are talking about lends itself very well to covering every role in such different hunting practices.
Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 Camo - All new ..
Il Super Black Eagle was born in Benelli several years ago when the expansion of the Urbino company on the North American market, and here we are obviously talking about the USA and Canada, clearly shows the wishes of customers oriented towards the maximum expression of the 12 gauge, as the 10 gauges have now withered, for various reasons. and 8. Precisely the functional comparison with these chambers now in disuse, in particular by us as a result of one of the many laws aimed at mortifying the art of hunting, serves to demonstrate how sometimes what comes after is progress, sometimes not. but in this case we would say yes because with a single shotgun we can compete and effectively contribute to achieving the result in such different fields. Let's analyze the purposes and together what the gun is offers: starting from the top of the commitment we return to talk about turkeys and geese of which every hunter who has had the opportunity to undermine them is well aware of their resistance to lead (or steel) and of the distance they manage to interpose between themselves and that importunate who undermines them. Today's charges of 12/89 also carry 63 g of pellets and push them at remarkable speeds by exploiting holes in particular barrels, equally sophisticated chokes, components of the cartridge almost related to rocketry. The solution for those who pull the trigger lies in having in the eyes and in the mind the progenitor of the plant studied by Oto Melara for the defense of the point: we explain ourselves better by saying that the relief of the flying target must first determine the congruity of the distance. Beyond a certain limit there is no history, and at the same time the advance must be given as a function of various parameters such as the distance, the speed and the angle with respect to the origin of the shot. Only in this way will the shot have its effect and, having learned the lesson and putting it into practice, one will be very amazed at the effects achieved by the weapon and cartridge as a whole.
Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 Camo - The elements at stake ..
If the ancients could have bestowed on the Benelli the trilemma (it is a dilemma with an extra horn) of the boatman engaged in ferrying the mythical wolf, goat and cabbage to the other bank of the river, probably would have seen it resolved in a short time ... in fact the House of Urbino was able to contrive a clear harmony between power, weight and recoil. If he relived the late Gen. Journée he would be the first to compliment the Benelli project office where this modern trilemma has been smoothly resolved and he would have to review his correct theory on action and reaction applied to shotguns. The mass of the weapon has always been the function of contrasting the recoil, therefore by increasing the energy of the charge it is necessary to increase the mass that receives it to make everything not unpleasant. A 10 Magnum caliber side-by-side, therefore with an 89 mm case, shoots in practice the same charge as the 12 Supermagnum or 12/89, but has a mass of just under 4,5 kg: taking it for a walk on a wandering hunt (read permitting) is at least an enterprise that is between the improbable and the masochistic. Il Super Black Eagle III on the other hand, he sees the needle of the balance stop at only 3.200 g, a weight almost equal to that of an over-and-under, further diluted in the sensations of use by a perfect balance with the larger mass right in the hands.
The Manton exegetes whispered at that time that the two brothers were supported and in affinity with arcane forces that allowed them to achieve the fantastic results still well known today: the circumvention of the laws of physics produced in Urbino borders on this concept implemented with there stock ComfortTech with energy absorption induced by the flexion stock, from the gel buttplate with an oriented profile, from the nose pad also in soft material that dampens energy and vibrations, those that are not felt very much, but that cause a lot of posthumous discomfort to the head and to what it contains. A little more witchcraft, in smooth barrels it is almost an obligation, it can be perceived in the puncture of the core and in the chokes with sections, slope cones and cylindrical parts for which the powerful full-loaded cartridges such as the tenuous 12/70 from 28 grams to play on the platform or devote themselves to small hunting, are fully mastered so as to best highlight the yield.
Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 Camo - The characteristics
We realize that we have not talked about the inertial system with rotating head closure, but we really seem to explain the function of the two pedals in a car with automatic transmission: it seemed better to highlight the extreme versatility of this rifle. Think locally and think about the work with the 1 or 2-star chokes, fast, almost overbearing 32 g cartridges, behind a wall of shelter from the thrush's edge and hidden behind a bulkhead of branches near a pool of water in waiting for turtledoves; then why not with 28 g cartridges, 9 shot and 4-star or Cyl / Mod choke together with your auxiliary looking for quail in one of those Balkan countries, dreams of many fans. While in those hunting paradises, attention is paid to the hares where a nice charge with the very classic 36 g in a 12/70 cartridge will be the right approach to the ear and maybe, in the right hours of the early morning or evening, we dedicate ourselves to the Danube, or another suitable area, for medium-sized aquatic animals of which the mallard is emblematic: here are perhaps some beautiful 12/76 cartridge with a load of shots around 45 g will allow catches even at several meters more than usual. The geese will then be the crowning glory in the use of this rifle and the maximum loads allowed by the 12/89 caliber, together with the skill of the shooter, will be the apotheosis of a hunting commitment of rare beauty.
The surface finish dictates Real Tree Max 5 it is specially designed for the areas frequented by the greater anseriformes, obviously to be combined with a similar hunter's clothing. Certainly it will be good to make a thought to equip yourself with such a technological and so functional hunting means, especially those who travel a lot dedicating themselves to a wide variety of wild.
