Beretta has always been close to the needs of clay pigeon shooters, whether they are the big names awarded at the Olympics and the World Championships, or the neophyte who decides to approach the platforms for the first time.
The new was developed precisely with this in mind 690 Sporting Black Edition over-and-under shotgun, a low-cost weapon but with all the peculiar characteristics of a successful shotgun, derived directly from the Beretta 692 Sporting over-and-under shotgun, it follows the configuration of the receiver, the balance and the streamlined line.
To create a high-performance and at the same time low-cost shooting rifle, years of experience are needed on all the platforms in the world with different models of firearms, so as to collect a large amount of information. Thanks to the know-how acquired in almost 500 years of history spent at the service of gun production, Beretta is the only company able to combine these two peculiarities in a single weapon: the 690 Sporting Black Edition over / under.
For 690 Sporting Black Edition Steelium steel barrels were chosen, a technology used by Beretta for all the latest generation guns. In order to reduce recoil, the connection between the combustion chamber and the cylindrical barrel section, which has an 18,6 mm hole, is 90 mm long, so as to reduce internal pressures, optimizing the escape of the shot with always compact shot patterns. and well distributed. The barrels are matt burnished with anti-reflective finish, rib 10 × 8 and OptimaChoke HP long chokes, also usable with steel shot.
The enlarged receiver has a super-technological black look, with glossy / matt black contrasting finishes, while an aggressive effect has been obtained thanks to the orange color that characterizes the initials 690, the brand Beretta and the profile on the lower edge. Inside there is the super-tested Beretta lock which provides two sturdy conical pins placed on the upper part of the breech, at the height of the shells, which fit into the two housings of the monobloc. The release system consists of a single selective trigger with the command to choose the barrel that will fire first, obtained on the safety lever.
The woods are carefully chosen for skeet shooting, in walnut selected to ensure the perfect balance of the weapon. The fore-end has a tapered and ergonomic shape while the stock can be standard with 32/42 or 35/45 fold and in the B-Fast version with adjustable fold. All butts are finished with Microcore recoil pad, available in three different sizes, in open cell expanded technopolymer: lighter, more performing and smoother than rubber.
The opening lever, as on the over and under Beretta 692, is soft-touch overprinted, for optimal grip in any weather situation.
Il 690 Sporting Black Edition over / under it is a technological and very performing rifle, certainly more than an entry level, able to give great satisfaction to those who decide to approach the splendid discipline of clay pigeon shooting, but also an excellent travel companion for those who want to deepen it by participating in competitions and trying their hand in increasingly challenging routes.
