Beretta relaunches the pleasure of clay shooting with a new protagonist of its famous semi-automatic platform: the Beretta A400L. Elegance, innovation and precision come together in a weapon designed for those seeking the best, both in design and performance. The A400L represents not only a technical evolution of the Sporting model, but also an aesthetic leap that conquers at first sight. This new edition was created to stand out, right from the first details: the receiver is made of Nickel-plated Ergal, beautifully decorated with a floral engraving on an inked background that extends across the entire surface. A refined work that recalls the great Italian artistic tradition applied to the art of gunsmithing. The finish is performed with laser technology, but what is striking is the artisanal rendering, capable of harmoniously combining classicism and modernity.
But the A400L is much more than an exercise in style: it is a rifle designed to excel in clay shooting disciplines, from Compak at FITASC Sporting, from English Sporting to stalking. This is demonstrated by the numerous technical solutions that Beretta has integrated, starting from the tried and tested B-Link® gas socket system, here further optimized to ensure a 36% higher re-arming speed compared to competitors. This means very fast firing cycles, with significantly reduced recoil and an unmatched feeling of control even during intense sessions.

The ballistic heart of the Beretta A400L is represented by Steelium® Plus rods, made of Beretta tri-alloy steel (Ni, Cr, Mo), deeply drilled, cold hammered and vacuum stretched. The triple internal connection cone – up to 320 mm long in the 76 cm version – allows extremely uniform, dense and lethal patterns, regardless of the cartridge used: lead, steel or HP steel. The barrels are combined with chokes OptimaChoke® HP interchangeable, with a polished burnished finish, and completed by a 10x8 mm ventilated upper rib with white front sight.

Aesthetically, the visual impact is extraordinary also thanks to the choice of a European walnut wood class 2,5+ for stock and forend, carefully selected and finished with shellac. The ergonomic design of the pistol has been redesigned, improving the checkering area and introducing an ambidextrous boss for a firm grip in all situations. There is no shortage of components with coating DLC (Diamond Like Carbon), an advanced technology used in the medical and automotive fields that guarantees exceptional resistance to wear, corrosion and external agents. The DLC treatment is applied to the bolt group, the trigger and the magazine release button, with a technical and aesthetic result of the highest level.

This view shows the semi-open bolt group, part of the B-Link system that ensures smooth firing cycles and automatic gas cleaning.

The balance between beauty and functionality: every line of the A400L is designed to ensure comfort, control and responsiveness while hunting or shooting.
Another distinctive element of the A400L is the fuel tank cap B-Balance®, also with an anodized aluminum and steel finish, which allows weight adjustment up to +55 grams thanks to the supplied inserts. A valuable feature for calibrating the balance of the rifle based on the shooter's needs.
Il aluminum trigger group delivers a lighter, crisper release, with a shorter reset than previous models. Inside we also find an enlarged competition-grade follower, designed to facilitate quick and safe loading, even in critical conditions or with gloves. The loading port has been enlarged and made more accessible, while the shutter release button and puller have been enlarged for intuitive manipulation.

Even comfort has been taken care of down to the smallest details: the butt plate Microcore®, in open-cell polyurethane, expands after the shot, increasing the contact area with the shoulder and improving stability and control. The sliding structure and the studied knurling offer effective support for every shooting session, ensuring superior ergonomics.

The rifle is available in caliber 12 with 76 mm (3” magnum) chamber, in three barrel lengths: 71, 76 and 81 cm. The package includes three OCHP® choke tubes (IM, M and IC), choke tube wrench and oil. All stored in a new hard polymer case, injection molded for optimal protection during transport.
Il Beretta A400L It is aimed at both the expert shooter and the lover of beauty. It combines reliable and fast mechanics, excellent ballistics, quality materials and a style that does not go unnoticed. It is a semi-automatic to admire, but above all to use.

As he pointed out Daniele Piva, Vice President Business Commercial Market of Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta:
“The speed, reliability and comfort of the Beretta A400 platform and its B-Link® gas system have become a global benchmark for semi-automatic shotguns, both for hunting and competition. The A400L continues this legacy, adding some of the most advanced technologies on the market today. The beautiful engraving and wood details are just an elegant contamination of what we have been doing for years on over-and-under shotguns.”
