Bignami presents the new one Savage Impulse: the first linear rearm rifle with Savage DNA. A new, powerful and modular generation of rifles, developed with a combination of tried and tested elements and well 13 new patents. The heart of the weapon is the Hexlock locking system, chosen for its extensive safety guarantees. The balls of the Hexlock system exert a resistance that is proportional to the increase in pressure. When the shutter is closed, the balls expand in a symmetrical and constant way, ensuring that the sealing surface is perfectly symmetrical, for the benefit of precision.
The weapon features a mechanical firing pin safety, in addition to the proven AccuTrigger , developed by Savage, and a two-position manual slide safety on the action tang, which can be operated by either right- or left-handed shooters . As a result, the Impulse has three independent safety devices, making the weapon extremely safe even if dropped or even if the weapon is dropped with the manual safety disengaged. Other interesting features:
– Shutter handle adjustable in angle and reversible for left-handed use
- Bolt head interchangeable without tools, to change the caliber class
– Quick-change barrel system with proven muzzle bushing that minimizes headspace
– Integrated Picatinny rail , for flexible, low-profile mounting of a riflescope
- User adjustable AccuTrigger trigger with no need for disassembly
– Proven AccuFit stock adjustment system , with five different cheek pieces and four inserts for length adjustment
– Proven three-dimensional AccuStock aluminum chassis , embedded in the stock
– Rifling obtained by buttoning, to guarantee maximum precision , high velocities and compatibility with any type of bullet.
