To tell the lived experience "that you have of the incredible" is Rossana Padoan Falcone, employed in an insurance firm and secretary of the Pd Portoria Carignano club. Around 19:30 pm, as soon as she left the office, the 57-year-old went to relax for a couple of hours on the beach in via del Tritone as she is used to doing at the end of a week of work. This time, however, after eating a pizza by the sea, found a nasty surprise.
"I was on the beach, sitting on my towel, Friday evening, after work: I was enjoying the breeze and a wild boar appeared next to me - he testified - I remained motionless, they say to do so, and he came over again and bit my arm ”. “I had put down the cardboard, closed, not far from me and my towel, when the wild boar arrived, it was quite big - he said. I remained motionless, I thought he was attracted to pizza, and that he would have tried to open the cardboard that kept some leftovers inside, instead he approached me and bit me ". With her arm bloody from the bite of the wild boar Rossana began to scream and those present who witnessed the scene they immediately ran away. On the beach around her, a void was created until a woman approached to give her help.
The 57-year-old was then rescued by a local police patrol and by an ambulance that took her to San Martino di Genove for treatment. In addition to the tetanus booster, Rossana will have to take an antibiotic three times a day for six days and undergo a course of vaccinations to the anti-rabies: "In the emergency room they prescribed it to me, but in the ASL clinic they asked me if I wanted to receive it: there seems to be no history of wild boar bite and it is not certain that you run the risk of contracting the disease. I honestly chose not to risk it". The woman wanted to publicly denounce her bad adventure as a symbol of a wild boar emergency that is in danger of degenerating in Genoa.
"It is intolerable that citizens run such a risk - denounces the woman - I was on a beach where, right next to me, until a few minutes earlier, I had had the company of a couple with a baby in the stroller: if she had bitten him? And then that beach is accessible to disabled people, why put them at risk? It is a public beach, which must in any case be manned ". In the night between Saturday and Sunday, the local police broadcast three different ones on their Telegram channel warning notices to motorists for wild boars on the carriageway respectively in corso Torino, corso Europa and via Capri, inviting you to "pay the utmost attention" (Virgilio).
