Wild boar hunting: rifle with only two shots for wild boar hunting, the Government decree arrives which reduces the magazines for semi-automatic rifles.
Yet another cold shower for belt hunters, the government seems to have approved a Decree Law, n.91 of 24 June 2014, which has already entered into force and published in the Official Gazette n.144 which provides for a particular amendment to law 157/92 which regulates hunting activity in Italy.
In particular, the Decree Law in question, to article 16, number 2, makes the following modification to the hunting law, "In fine article 13, paragraph 1, of the law of 11 February 1992, n.157, the following period: «The magazines of the rifled-bore semi-automatic repeating rifles used in hunting cannot contain more than two cartridges» ”. Based on this new modification of 157/92, all hunters who use semi-automatic rifles in hunting, for example in wild boar hunting, will be able to use a maximum of two cartridges as is already the case for smooth-bore rifles.
The envisaged modification unequivocally clarifies that the reduction of the magazine capacity for rifles is mandatory only if the weapon is used in hunting and in any case the Decree in question must be converted into law within 60 days therefore it is necessary to wait for the deadline. to see if this will actually happen or lose its effectiveness.
