News on Law 57 of 1992
“The approval of my amendment to the Budget Law on hunting calendars it is an important step forward in providing greater clarity to the hunting sector. In fact, law 157/1992 is amended, providing that the legitimacy and authorization for hunting activity, by law, is valid for each hunting year and, above all, intervening in the matter of challenging hunting calendars". Thus in a note the Hon. Maria Cristina Caretta of Fratelli d'Italia, Vice President of the Agriculture Commission in Montecitorio.
Inserting the stakes
“As we well know, in fact, the challenge of the calendar before the TAR represents an obstructionist strategy to damage the regular conduct of hunting activities. With the approval of my amendment, some obstacles will be inserted instead”.
The latest approved calendar
“First of all, a 30-day deadline from the publication of the hunting calendar for its appeal, the recognition of hunting associations as parties in the proceedings and, finally, the guarantee of regular hunting activity even if the precautionary request is accepted, until the publication of the sentence that defines the merits, using the last legitimately approved hunting calendar as a reference. There is still a lot to do, but it is a first step forward to provide answers to nature professionals who work with determination to ensure the maintenance of our wildlife heritage.”
