News on Law 57 of 1992
"The approval of my amendment to the Budget Law on hunting calendars is an important step forward in providing greater clarity to the hunting sector. It amends Law 157/1992, establishing that the legality and authorization of hunting activities are valid for each hunting year, and, more importantly, addresses the issue of challenging hunting calendars." This was stated in a statement by Hon. Maria Cristina Caretta of the Brothers of Italy party, Vice President of the Agriculture Committee in the Chamber of Deputies.
Inserting the stakes
"As we well know, in fact, challenging the calendar before the Regional Administrative Court ( TAR) all too often represents an obstructionist strategy to undermine the proper conduct of hunting activities. With the approval of my amendment, restrictions will be introduced instead."
The latest approved calendar
“First of all, a 30-day deadline from the publication of the hunting calendar for its appeal, the recognition of hunting associations as parties in the proceedings and, finally, the guarantee of regular hunting activity even if the precautionary request is accepted, until the publication of the sentence that defines the merits, using the last legitimately approved hunting calendar as a reference. There is still a lot to do, but it is a first step forward to provide answers to nature professionals who work with determination to ensure the maintenance of our wildlife heritage.”
