May 12, 2023, the three days of the long-awaited event of the year begin Hunt Village 2023, the annual appointment with the largest hunting, shooting and outdoor fair in central-southern Italy. For the 2023 edition, the national fair will take place from 12 to 14 May, again in Bastia Umbria, which has now become the capital of the hunting world.
Caccia Village 2023: the news and reconfirmations for the eleventh edition
The last edition was truly a record-breaker for the Caccia Village. Now, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year by all enthusiasts in the sector, returns for its eleventh edition, bringing with it many new features.
The numbers of exhibition areas, companies and brands that will participate in this edition are growing, just as the expectation of the public and professionals for the new initiatives.
Among these, the most talked about is the new Wild Food thematic area, an area dedicated entirely to game with the aim of educate and inform about food culture in relation to game meat. In this area, where the protagonists are the products that the forest gives us, there will be workshops, cooking shows in collaboration with starred chefs and with the Franchi Food Academy, and many in-depth studies on the nutritional values of game meat aimed at making the food culture linked to hunting known even to those who are not involved in hunting.
Then the National exhibition of forest products where hunting and catering meet forming a perfect union.
Training appointments in programs
Training is one of the concepts that once again this year is reconfirmed as the pivot around which the whole event revolves. Already a few months ago Andrea Castellani, the organizer of Caccia Village, had announced a rich calendar of training events in which the most important would also participate national hunting schools. The schools involved in this initiative, 5 in particular, are: La Foresta, Obora Hunting Academy, Dream Formazione, Latemar, and Accademia Foreste e Fauna.
Each of the 5 schools will hold workshops over the three days of Caccia Village dealing with interesting topics on the hunting world. The appointments, with free admission, will address various topics including:
- The senses of ungulates and hunting techniques (Accademia Foreste e Fauna);
- After the hit 2.0 (Latemar);
- The current status of ungulates in Italy (Dream Formazione);
- Night vision systems (La Foresta);
- Hunting techniques for ungulates with recall (Obora Hunting Academy);
- Hunting culture and ethics (Latemar);
- Safety in hunting (The Forest).
