Yet another update from the Bocca di Caset ringing station in Trentino: "Orange, black, and white...perhaps these colors might remind some of the upcoming Halloween celebration, but here in Caset they mean...bramblings ! This species, in fact, dominated today's catches, which also saw the arrival of a few blue tits, bullfinches , and, as expected, a few redwings.
After yesterday's visit by Fernando Spina (CNI-ISPRA), one of the coordinators of the Alps project, this morning the head of the Rovereto and Riva Forestry Office joined us, accompanied by some colleagues, to learn more about our work with the foresters of the Ledro Station . The story of the three months of monitoring alternates with some in-depth information on the species captured, while a hint of melancholy begins to creep in among the operators... " Two days to go until closing time!"
