The ringing and catching station of the Pass of Bocca di Casèt (Alpi Project), which is located in the municipal area of Ledro (in the province of Trento), summarized the last six days of activity, very intense indeed. The weather conditions were the most diverse and this could affect the migrazione. The birds ringed in almost a week were about 800, with catches of great interest. Specifically, the list includes black woodpeckers, woodcocks, serins, goldfinches, common owls, dwarf owls, nuthatches, cesene, sasselli thrushes, frosoni, brambles, siskins e twist.
Furthermore, the most prominent catches were those of the uncommon fortune teller and the first capture ever - both for the station and for the entire Trentino Alto Adige - of a Indian prispolone. This pass is located at over 1600 meters above sea level and represents the main crossing point of the entire northern region, an obligatory route for the migrants of the autumn season on their journey southwards. from August to October every year, therefore, the latest 2016 data are being recorded for what concerns catches and ringings.
