An 11 year old boy was chased and bitten by a wild boar while he was cycling on the shores of Lake Castel Gandolfo (Rome). The attack of the wild animal at the 14-year-old took place yesterday afternoon - Sunday XNUMX February - while he was doing a walk with the family. The couple with their son, resident in Marino, had chosen a sunny Sunday to take a trip outdoors despite the bitter temperatures, when the animal came out of nowhere chasing the boy and making him fall. Medicated on the spot by health personnel arrived aboard a 118 ambulance without needing to be transported to the hospital, he also reported bruises to his legs in the fall but nothing serious.
It is not the only episode that has recently taken place around the lake: a few days ago a woman who was jogging said she was chased by a wild boar and managed to get to safety. The local police of Albano and Castel Gandolfo are also on site. The animal from what we learn had no puppies and he may have become aggressive due to the large presence of people in the area yesterday.
The episode turns on the light again on the number of wild boars in the area of Castel Gandolfo and Castelli Romani, as underlined in a statement to the newspaper Il Messaggero da Mauro Masnaghetti, commander of the Local Police: “For over a year we have reported to the Park of the Castles proliferation of wild boars especially in the lake area where in summer they go as far as the deckchairs of the bathers, a problem not to be underestimated "(Fanpage).
