While the Lombardy regional bill on catching live decoys has been happily approved, the one on derogations, also on the agenda of the Council yesterday, 14 September 2010, as we have learned has unfortunately sunk, it would seem under the cross blows of most of the opposition and a considerable part of the majority of the government of the Region. We must take note that the many policy documents drawn up by the regional ANUU in support of the approval of the provision, built on solid legal foundations, were ultimately disregarded.
However, we reserve the right to formulate the merit assessments, both of a technical-legal and political nature, once we are fully aware of what happened in the classroom. At this moment, we would especially like to thank warmly all those who (and there were at least 1.000, other than the "hundred" announced by the press agencies!) Yesterday wanted to join the initiative promoted by ANUU by animating the street facing the entrance del Pirellone and presiding over it with firmness and utmost correctness, thus demonstrating the determination of honest citizens to have their legitimate aspirations recognized. With regard to future decisions and, in particular, the positions to be taken towards those who caused this negative outcome, we guarantee from now on that the consequences of today's unmotivated and fearful reversal will not be long in making themselves felt.
