Environmental volunteering
On May 17, 2025, a significant environmental volunteering initiative took place, organized by the municipal section of Federcaccia di Borgosatollo, in collaboration with the municipal administration and with the representation of students and teachers of different classes of the primary school of the country. This day saw the active participation of more than 70 citizens, volunteers and students of the primary school, engaged in cleaning the cycle paths, in the restoration of the paths connecting the municipalities and in the collection of waste abandoned in public spaces. The event was characterized by the enthusiasm of the participants and by the effective collaboration between different local entities.
The national project
This initiative fits perfectly into the national project “Operazione Paladini del Territorio” promoted by Fondazione UNA (Uomo, Natura, Ambiente). The project aims to enhance the commitment of local communities, in particular hunting sections, in safeguarding and improving the environment through concrete volunteering actions. Since 2024, the Operation has been expanded, transforming into an open platform that welcomes environmental volunteering initiatives throughout the year, without time limits, promoting activities such as cleaning natural and urban areas, restoring trails, wildlife monitoring and environmental education in schools.
Great collaboration
The event of May 17th represents a concrete example of how the collaboration between citizens, local institutions and associations can actively contribute to the protection and enhancement of the territory. The participation of primary school students underlines the importance of involving the new generations in environmental education courses, raising their awareness of respect and care for their environment (source: FIDC Brescia).
