The regional section of the Toscana of Italian Confederation of Farmers (CIA) intervened on the question of the Territorial Areas of Hunting. As stated in the official note, the Regional Council and the Councilor for Agriculture, Marco Remaschi, were urged to activate the provision as soon as possible appointment of the current presidents of the Tuscan ATC as commissioners.
The objective is to prevent the blocking of the activities of the Sectors, otherwise the safeguarding of the agricultural sector could be jeopardized. The stance is the natural consequence of the recent sentence of the Constitutional Court, according to which the regional reform must be rejected as regards the Territorial Areas of Hunting, reduced to nine units based on provincial territories (the discussed amalgamation of the provinces of Florence and Prato).
The Council ruled a few days ago following the appeal presented by the Council of Ministers. CIA Tuscany called for a quick solution to the problem, illustrating the advantages of appointing commissioners. With these figures at the helm of the ATCs, in fact, Tuscan farms would be safe, also because the Scopes would continue to verify and monitor the damage caused by ungulates.
In addition, it wouldn't hold back selection hunting and control of rural areas would be guaranteed, preventing the proliferation of wildlife. The press release ends with the trust nurtured by the association, now it will be necessary to await the response of the institutions.
